Modaprax Tips & Instructions

For instructions on how to install a Modaprax Pergola, please access the Modaprax Instructions Guide here.

You can customize your timber pergola with rafters up to 2.5m in height. If installing 8 rafters, we recommend a maximum span of 3m (allowing 298.3mm spacing between rafter beams).

For pergolas frames with 3-3.6m spans, you can order more Rafter Brackets here.

To estimate space between rafter brackets

Step 1: Measure exact span of your timber frame.

Step 2: Count the number of spaces between rafters (no. of rafters +1).

Step 3: Estimate the space between each rafter fastening point = Span/(no. of rafters +1)

Modaprax Pergola Kit with Rafters

The rafter brackets provide an easy solution to install your choice of 90x45 or 90x35 rafter beams to your pergola and add some additional style to your outdoor structure.

The kit comes with four base brackets which allow you to anchor your timber posts to a solid surface (e.g. concrete, decking or stone). The three arm corner brackets connect the remaining posts of your pergola to complete the frame.
